About

In the window house as the name suggests the prominent feature is the inclined bay windows which reach out to the eves of the roof giving a dynamic and well-rounded form to the house. On the ground floor the inclined bay window becomes the perfect spot for a quiet evening tea with a view out into the garden. In addition to this the garden can also be enjoyed from a sit out space. All this along with the location of the site gives it its laid-back character where one can come back to unwind. The client also wanted his house to give homage to his Keralite ancestry, which we achieved through the fine detailing of the structure.

The material palette of the house includes textured stone, tile and steel. This blend of natural materials with steel gives the structure a timeless charm. The main gate fashions a vibrant sun mural that embodies this interplay.
